Briar Training Academy
Work has started on the formation of a new Training Academy in Reigate, Surrey.
This project has the dual benefit of enhancing the training for our trainees and providing the opportunity for our qualified engineers to improve and update their skills.
To provide a realistic environment, we are creating a mock two bathroom flat and communal areas, where trainees can carry out, under supervision, the complete plumbing and heating works, including testing and commissioning of the works.
We have also found that many fully qualified engineers working on high rise blocks need to refresh their skills on rainwaters and gutters and domestic skills.
Equally, the engineers working on basic domestic dwellings, need to gain skills in more commercial aspects of of plumbing works such as cast iron soils and steel pipework.
Our new Training Academy space will complement our trainees ongoing college and site works, plus also cater for skills improvement for our engineers.
